PLEASE NOTE: the current edition of this book is a second printing, updated in some cases and expanded from the earlier edition by adding one school.
CSEE's annual event Developing Student Leadership has featured several comprehensive programs on leadership development in independent schools. This book highlights some of those programs, as models for schools everywhere: models they can adapt, adopt, or improve on, for their own specific school culture and goals.
This book includes programs from both co-ed and single-sex schools, and upper and middle school grades, and each chapter is written by the leadership program coordinator. Editor David Streight's summary at the end of the text looks at what each of the programs have in common: the necessary elements for a good leadership development program.
